AI Research Disciplines for Private Investors: Rademeldor

Why we built an AI research assistant for private investors, and what we believe good investment research actually looks like.

About this research tool

The problem we set out to solve

Private investors have never had access to more information. Company filings, earnings calls, sector reports, economic data and market commentary are available to anyone with an internet connection. Yet access to information is not the same as the ability to use it well. The challenge most investors face is not a shortage of data — it is a shortage of structured thinking tools that help them interrogate that data honestly and arrive at conclusions they can trust.

this research tool was built in response to that gap. We observed that the habits and disciplines that make professional analysts effective — explicit assumption-mapping, scenario comparison, signal prioritisation, structured thesis-building — were largely unavailable to private investors in a practical, accessible form. Our aim was to bring those disciplines into a conversational AI assistant that any private investor could use, regardless of their professional background.

The problem we set out to solve

Our approach to investment research

We believe that good investment research is fundamentally a thinking discipline, not an information-retrieval exercise. The most important questions are rarely about finding more data — they are about understanding what the data you already have actually implies, what assumptions you are making without realising it, and what would have to be true for your current view to be wrong. this research tool is designed to help investors engage with those questions directly and honestly.

This means the assistant is deliberately challenging. It does not simply confirm what you already think. It asks you to be explicit about your reasoning, to consider alternative scenarios, and to examine the conditions under which your thesis would break down. This is not comfortable, but it is honest — and we believe it leads to better-informed decisions than an assistant that simply tells you what you want to hear.

What we are not, and why that matters

this research tool is an investment research assistant. It is not a financial adviser, a portfolio manager or a trading platform. It does not provide personalised recommendations, manage money or execute transactions of any kind. We are clear about this boundary because we believe it matters: the value of independent research lies precisely in the fact that the conclusions are yours, arrived at through your own reasoning rather than delegated to an algorithm or an adviser.

If your situation requires regulated financial advice — because of the complexity of your circumstances, the size of your portfolio, or the nature of the decisions you face — a qualified financial adviser is the right resource. What this research tool offers is the structured intellectual support to make your own research more rigorous before you seek that advice, or before you act on your own judgement. We are a tool for thinking, and we are proud to be exactly that.
